Research indicates that blended learning, despite the variety of definitions, aims at providing a good learning experience by combining the best features of face-to-face learning and online learning through a combination of methodologies and approaches to learning. More and more institutions, courses, and educators apply blended learning as its embedded flexibility allows students to have more control in their own learning and helps them develop lifelong learning skills. A variety of tools will be briefly introduced and discussed, but the workshop will focus on the following four tools: lino, glogster, voki, and voxopop. During the workshop, the participants have the opportunity to see examples of how the four tools are used in language learning. They will also receive step-by-step guidelines on how to use them. Finally, by the end of the workshop participants will create their own task using one of the four tools.
